Noope, just a nice jihadi coup d'etat attempt by the military etc causing some kind of a civil war that forces the US to occupy the oilfields.

Too many royals will escape to Monaco and Switzerland and even the US but chaos, chaos, mayhem, riots and civil war among the military, the national guard, jihadis etc.

The only way to upset this gravy train is to run it off its tracks. Before the Saudis get their hooks into Iraq since the Iraqis owe them bucketloads of cash.

Occupying the oil fields might be easier, short term, than it might sound. Locals in the east are mostly Shi'ites, no fans of the House of Saud.

Iran might decide to demand AQ earn it's keep by hitting a critical pumping station or two in Saudi. Will increase Iranian oil profits handsomely.
