Isn't medical record privacy one of the columns of the DNC?
Oh well, as usual, only when it applies to them and not people they hate.

Not a lawyer but I play one on FR.
I think a judge can decide if the medical records taken from various doctors will be used in court or sealed by the clerk.

Palm Beach Daily News Limbaugh: Seal medical records
By WILLIAM KELLY, Daily News Staff Writer
Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003 Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh asked a judge to rule on his request to block any "unauthorized" public disclosure of the Palm Beacher's medical records as part of the legal case against him.
In a petition filed Monday in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, Limbaugh asked for a hearing within three days on his request to have his medical records sealed.
Limbaugh argued that he has a constitutional right to privacy over the records, and that the seizure of the records by the State Attorney's Office was making it difficult for him to obtain treatment from his doctors.
Law enforcement officials had seized the Palm Beacher's medical records, files, computer records and financial documents from the Palm Beach Ear, Nose and Throat Association in West Palm Beach and the Jupiter Outpatient Surgery Center in Jupiter.
The seizures occurred after the State Attorney's Office obtained Nov. 25 warrants alleging Limbaugh received prescription medication of a controlled substance from four physicians, to obtain overlapping prescriptions, in a five-month period in 2003.
Limbaugh and his attorney Roy Black of Miami had countered that the warrants amounted to a "fishing expedition." Black did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.

the Palm Beach Ear, Nose and Throat Association in West Palm Beach Yuppers, a fishing expedition. Rush got hooked on meds for back pain.
To: HiTech RedNeck
I say Rush and Howie Dean BOTH unseal their med records at the same time.

Funniest thing Rush said last week...
"I am going to name Howard Dean as one of my medical consultants- THAT will make sure my records are sealed!"

I think I saw some but I'm not sure. Is there any resemblance between Rush's avowed constitutional right to privacy of medical records and the conservative firestorm ignited when the Supreme Court found a constitutional right to privacy in the bedroom?

I don't care what you do in your bedroom any more than I care what is in Rush's medical records.

What would be normal for this type of case for a
non-celebrity?, please post cites, or links, if posible.

In a petition filed Monday in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, Limbaugh asked for a hearing within three days on his request to have his medical records sealed. Apparently Rush has a lot to hide. Obviously in his drug-induced state, he forgot that he had tons of enemies who are gleefully out to destroy him. Too bad he had to make it so easy for them.
To: Dr. Scarpetta
And probably some who are not so gleeful. At least not openly gleeful. He certainly knows that being #1 means even your friends may be out to get you. Not naming names.
