It took us
at least two years in Germany and conditions were much more favorable; they were utterly defeated and surrounded by enemies who hated them.
Don't despair about the traditional mainstream media. The Internet has broken their monopoly. More and more people are turning to sites like this one where they can find alternate views supported by different facts.
Also, human beings are different. Some are optimists, some pessimists, some will see the bright side, others only misery and failure. A free press will always reflect the different outlooks. You can already observe that in the quotes from the Iraqi newspapers (in the article from Memri which I posted). Isn't it wonderful? ( no sarcasm :) )

Thanks for your input!

The media was behind the war effort 100%, until the Democratic election campaign forced them to put a wet blanket on our success stories in Iraq in order that they may give the left a fighting chance to win the White House. My friend, I can assure you the Democrats have as much chance as a snow ball in hell to get even one state this coming election.
I would not get exited over their partiality. It is an American tradition to give both sides of the argument, the left, and the right. The right will sweep all the states, as well as capturing as much as four more Senate seats.

LOL!
It is not whether your glass is half empty (pessimist) or half full (optimist).
Rather, it is what is in the glass!
