I did a search but have not found this posted. I thought it is very interesting to read how the capture came about.

I thought that choosing the name "Operation Red Dawn", and then the names "Wolverine 1" and "Wolverine 2" were interesting, considering Patrick Swayze's movie, Red Dawn.

A couple of reports claimed that one of the men running from the house had to point out the place where Saddam was hiding. Our soldiers came that close to missing it.

Savage just said that, given Saddam's disheveled, trashed, and hungry condition it may turn out that he was in fact being held hostage, and his captors were keeping him there until the $25 million could be negotiated to their liking.
