I just don't see Dean pulling off the centrist "regular guy" makeover after the primaries that Clinton did in '92.
Clinton's campaign didn't start in righteous anger. It was optimistic "change" and "the man from Hope" and "I feel your pain." It was "Boy from broken home succeeds by idealism." And the young soccer moms and old softies came running.
The interesting thing is, you know Dean's people are dissecting that '92 campaign to suss out "what worked."
So what are these people going to do to turn an uppity New York elitist surgeon into someone you'd like to have a beer with?
Dean's right now trying to get ole slick willie's endorsement.
Maybe he should try for Rupert's from Survivor.
