You are very welcome. It was very historic, for the UNiteds States, this administration, all of those who have supported us and the Iraqi people...and by extension to the whole world.

If we stay the course, there is great hope for even more historic moments to come...like an honest to goodness constitutional republic in Iraq that recognizes and respects the unalienable rights of its citizens (including to free speech, defense, freedom of religion, etc.) in the heart of the Mid East.

How awesome will that be?

Well, the Iraqis have been some of most secular technocrats of the Arab world. So, I do feel very optimistic about their future, now that Saddam is gone.
I have my doubts about the wisdom of democracy in other parts, where like Algeria in 1990, the islamists won the elections. But this will strengthen the impulse for democracy in Arabia, as hopefully even some islamists figure out that the Great Satan is their best hope for overthrowing the corrupt regimes repressing them.

But not to nitpick; the efficiency, prestige and honor of the US military is obvious to the world.

The only tactic that I see the Democrats having now is to start calling for quick withdrawal. They don't have anything else to try and beat the President with.

December 13 2003. What a way to "Pump you Up!"
