You will remember the Vz congressman who accused Chavez recently of bringing in 10,000 Cuban troops. He claimed that they were listed as doctors on their documents.
He may have been a nutcase as far as I know, but it would be interesting to get confirmation as to exactly how many Cuban doctors are in the country and how many Cubans are there serving in other capacities. I never knew Venezuela had such a severe shortage of medical doctors. 10,000? Really?
I do know that defecting members of the Vz military claimed that Cubans were being deployed in Vz uniforms, which is separate from other Cubans serving officially as observers or liason officers in military posts throughout the country.

Not only are there teachers and doctors but also sports trainers and those detailed to Chavez's personal security force.

"President Hugo Chávez thanked the Cuban leader for sending more than 10,000 doctors..."
This sounds like unadulterated, genuine BS. 10,000 doctors?
Does Cuba even HAVE 10,000 doctors?
Oh, well, then again, consider the source. Chavez is not known for being either mentally stable or truthful...
