Joe Lieberman, "Praise the Lord!"
President Bush, "An enchanting day for Iraq."
We need to support our president and work for his reelection, but that includes expressing concern for watering down our biblical heritage.
Moslems do NOT worship the same God as Christians and Jews.

Communicating in "French". Very appropriate. And his tormentors landed a low blow - they called him a coward. LOL! Sleep well coward!

You gotta love that bias:
1) "The carefully managed event gave the four men who had spent decades opposing the ruler they regard as an oppressor of their country ...."
But when the NY Tims has an opinion, it is surely "well-known" or "thought to be.."
2) "mass graves of tens of thousands of Iraqis uncovered since Mr. Hussein was toppled"
Wasn't that number close to 300,000? I may be citing the wrong figure, but if I'm right this is unbelievable deception.

He was exercising his French language."French? What a coincidence < /sarcasm off>. IF France has it's way, I'm sure that they would welcome him to live there in exile.

The NY Times have always encouraged and supported Saddam's fellow genocidal monsters including Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, et al. Don't be surprised if they try to downplay the magnitude of his crimes.

I like that the euphamism for cursing seems to be "using French."

"The most important fact: Had the roles been reversed, he would have torn us apart and cut us into small pieces after torture," Mr. Chalabi said. "This contrast was paramount in my mind, how we treated him and how he would have treated us...."

Does your figure include the Iran-Iraq war or just Saddam's domestic genocide?
Either way, the NY Times did a sloppy job in reporting the statistics--many of which have a credible estimate as opposed to a rough generalization.

"And he started to use very colorful language," he said. "Basically he used all his French." I have the feeling we will be hearing more "French" in the future, and the "French" wont like it.

""I was in his torture chamber in 1979, and now he was sitting there, powerless in front of me without anybody stopping me from doing anything to him. Just imagine. We were arguing, and he was using very foul language."
"The carefully managed event gave the four men ..."
Carefully managed??? They were alone with him, spoke their minds, Saddam was not cuffed, they could have killed him, etc... The NYT stinks.

Brit-speak for cussing I think it's funny too, and appropriate. French is a beautiful language to listen to, but all too commonly the ideas expressed in it are loathesome.
On the other hand, a French slang term for the British is "les goddams", after a term much in favor with British sailors in years gone by.
