I can understand the "trust but verify" position; but this is the DC area and, unfortunately for us, our news is mostly bad - with robberies, shootings, gang stuff, colossal car wrecks, politicians caught with their pants down, etc. - so a missing teenager doesn't necessarily rate as importantly as it should newswise. And that's all the more reason for bypassing the media outlets and getting word out in other ways.
I had just turned on the radio to listen to Drudge, so I wasn't yet listening closely; and I only heard the name "Chris" (Christa?) Rogaliner and then heard the mom (Lisa/Alisa?) talking. I will listen carefully at the hourly news update and post more as soon as I get it.
She doesn't qualify for Amber Alert status. (even though she's 17, etc.)
The officer could not give any info other than they were working on it.
Still odd that it never made the news and she's not on any missing persons list.
Good night and Good luck.
