Sanchez: We've not totally concluded the investigation yet.
World International TV: Has the Iraqi council formed a new court to prosecute the criminals? Will Saddam be turned over?
Sanchez: Still to be determined as the case progresses....yes ma'am.. go ahead...
Journalist (iraq): For a new democratic iraq, we want to forward our lovely wishes to our brothers in the Iraqi Coaltion... Mr. Bremer..and all your efforts to capture the tyrant and who has been hated.. we want to ask the Iraqi Council...what will you be offering the Iraqi people as the people need all the help and looking fowards to a good Iraq and we are asking you thru the coalition forces for a new gov't..and a new promise for a new Iraqi
Council: We are in the service of the Iraqi people and we will do our best to offer our services and the first is to prepare for our transitional period to complete independence. We are working for a general election in the near future to select and enact a constitution... and show to the parliament... and it will be offered to iraqi's and we will clean it up and we will show it again to the Iraqi people.

NY Times; General, when are you going to be meeting with the captive, if not already.. and can you tell us of the progression of the phone calls.
Sanchez: I was with them when he was brought in last night, but I do not intend on meeting with him.
Bremer: I'll leave for a later date the minute by minute, but you can be sure that it was very busy.
Iraqi journalist: The DNA tests were conducted after the arrest, do you confirm this.. and when will you expose him for TV screening.
Sanchez: We are in the process of doing more conclusive tests, but we are sure that we have Saddam and there was positive ID from other detainees.
Journalist (iraqi): After arrest, do you feel a need to keep Saddam?
Sanchez; He will continue to be held in an undisclosed location?
Journalist (Iraqi): The arrest of Saddam will lead to arrest of other officials? or will you stop there?
Sanchez: Of course not! We have alot of work to do. We still have alot of forces creating havoc and we will continue to hunt them down and it's a mission we've been assigned. We will not slack off until we have security for the country.

Sanchez: He was cooperative... he was a tired man and also a man resigned to his fate.... all the way in the back.
Journalist: Do you expect any increase in attacks in retalliation ?
Sanchez: yes, there was a bombing in Chaldea.. .that killed 20 and wounded 10... a continuation of terror against the Iraqi people. We will defeat those elements if they choose to attack.
