Saddam Hussein was captured Saturday at 8:30 PM local ina cellar...

before Dr. Patachi who is the acting the leader of the council... I want to say a few words to the people of Iraq...

This is a great day for Iraq.

For decades Saddam divided you citizens against each other. For decades he threatened and attacked neighbors.

Now, it is time to look forward to the future to look forwards.

I woke up from my sleep around the time a breaking news alert came on. I wasn't paying much attention but I then heard Bremer say "We got him." And then the whoops and cheers from the audience. I thought, oh please, let him be talking about Saddam.
