If the members of Congress have the courage to join the war to protect our Country against radical Islam and continue these hearings -- all the way -- boy, will I get a two-fer.

Not only do I get to relive the Vietnam war era treason and the political/media quagmire of politics over military -- I get to relive the McCarthy / House Committee on Un-American Activities Senate and House investigations!

Can't wait for the screaming to start about these hearings. Can't wait for the reluctant witnesses' sob stories and their press toadies' "outrage."

The CP/USA invented the term "McCarthyism" that was picked up and used effectively against fellow Americans by the press. Wonder what term will be used today. Not to worry. CAIR, DNC, DLC, ABCNNBCBS, NYT, LAT, et al. have focus groups going round the clock. They'll come up with something soon.

I hope this generation tells the press to go to Hell. We were too polite to get mean in the old days -- this time, let's hang 'em!.

What did I do with that case of Hadacol and my blue suede shoes -- and, oh yes, my copy of Nervous Norvus' "Transfusion"

In this context, calling an Al Qaeda terrorist or any other political Islamist an Islamic terrorist or Muslim extremist is a fair game.

Uh-oh...

On Oct. 6 [2001] at its National Convention in Seattle, the Society of Professional "Journalists" passed a resolution urging members and fellow "journalists" to take steps against racial profiling in their coverage of the war on terrorism and to redouble their commitment to:

Use language that is informative and not inflammatory; Portray Muslims, Arabs and Middle Eastern and South Asian Americans in the richness of their diverse experiences;

Seek truth through a variety of voices and perspectives that help audiences understand the complexities of the events in Pennsylvania, New York City and Washington, D.C.

5.When writing about terrorism, remember to include white supremacist, radical anti-abortionists and other groups with a history of such activity.

8. Avoid using word combinations such as "Islamic terrorist" or "Muslim extremist" that are misleading because they link whole religions to criminal activity. Be specific: Alternate choices, depending on context, include "Al Qaeda terrorists" or, to describe the broad range of groups involved in Islamic politics, "political Islamists." Do not use religious characterizations as shorthand when geographic, political, socioeconomic or other distinctions might be more accurate.

I'm afraid I'll have to ask you for your press pass.

LOL, even though political correctness is taking over, I still believe in freedom of speech.

(Khalil) What were the means and methods used to persuade US soldiers to convert to Islam? (Philips) At first we prepared the soldiers mentally. A member of the team with experience in broadcasting and American psychology undertook that job. He called in 200-250 soldiers. Once he prepared them psychologically, I began giving the lectures and opened the floor for discussion on different issues. In my answers to their questions, I often linked the topics to the call for conversion to Islam.
Took the pages right out of our own psychological warfare playbooks.
Between the prisons and the military the fields are ripe with "lily-whites".
(Philips) I can say that we began our campaign to convert US soldiers to Islam after the end of the war in Kuwait and the withdrawal of the Iraqi forces.
Wasn't little "Timmah" McVeigh over there when all of this "psychological preparation" was taking place?

Good point.

Certainly McVeigh claimed empathy for the Iraqis. Though I think much of it was to claim that what he did was no worse than bombing Iraqi government buildings.

It was widely reported that McVeigh was an agnostic, saying that he will "improvise, adapt and overcome" if it turns out that there is a God and an afterlife.

As far as I know there is still the OKC bombing survivors' federal law suit and its "mountain" of evidence linking Iraq to the bombing.
