This tribe deserves whatever it gets. Reminds me of dumbass yuppies who feed raccoons and they get all huffy when their garbage is broken into, their pets attacked and rabies spread. Like them, this tribe thought the illegals were cute and cuddley. Consequences a bitch huh Tonto?

Put the military on the border and get it over with. It's time to face reality in Washington DC, illegal immigration is never going to stop until we do.

More than anyone else, the American Indians should know what happens when your territory is overrun with immigrants.

"In our judgment, no political status, no legal posture, no moral tradition and no social ethic can absolve the Tohono O'odham Nation for not proactively providing water or allowing others to help," Hoover said in an opinion piece distributed to the local media earlier this year. Wow, Hoover must have spent some time in putting together this flowery line. I wonder if he was trying to sound Kennedyesque?

These people reflect the American reaction to illegal immigration in microcosm.
First, when a few people arrive looking for work and a way out of desperate poverty, they are welcomed and given aid.
But as the numbers grow and the social problems from the illegals build, society begins to understand the dangers of unchecked migration.
Finally, the torrent of illegals becomes too much, but only those with first hand knowledge of the problem are willing to take the steps needed to secure the borders. Meanwhile, those who are still blissfully unaware of the true nature of the problem still see the illegals as beleaguered refugees seeking sanctuary.

Should a national immigration policy include amnesty for illegal aliens living and working in the United States?
Yes 48% 1587 votes
No 52% 1697 votes
Even on Pravda-on-the-Air! Are Dubya and Ridge nuts?

Kantian Burke used to have a profile but now he not only doesn't have a profile but he doesn't have any manners either. Tonto??? Are we a little on the BIGOT side here? By reading your profile I can see why you changed it. You're not the kind of personality that has many friends.

"Tribal elders say that while they still sympathize with the plight of the migrants, their sheer numbers have forced the tribe to
defend their homes and land. "
The exact same thing is happening to America proper. Now ask yourself why so that I don't have to sound like a kook.

Mexico shoots on site anyone they see illegally crossing THEIR southern border. No questions asked. If that policy is good enough for Mexico...

Q: Why does the United States Government permit wholesale illegal Mexican immigration?
A: For the workers.
Q: Why does the United States Government need foreign workers (not just Mexicans)?
A: It does not have enough labor force to meet the service sector and other blue collar work sectors within it's economy.
Q: Why does the United States Government not have enough workers to meet economic demand?
A: Over TWENTY MILLION AMERICAN WORKERS HAVE BEEN ABORTED OVER THE PAST TWENTY YEARS.
Q: If over twenty million American workers have been aborted over the past twenty years, who is going to pay for (read: generate taxes) the Social Security of the baby-boomer generation (now reaching critical mass)?
A: Mexican workers.
Any questions

"When I see them, I start shooting," he said. "Not at them, just up in the air, so they know they're not welcome."

No kidding - the illegal alien apologists are getting organized. In no way does 51 to 49% accurately reflect public sentiment.
Not even among CNN viewers.
