A dog bonds as a true friend. When you look in those sweet eyes you see goodness in the world. It is a blessing from God and a blessing that delivers faithfulness, unconditional love, kindness, loyalty, companionship, friendship and someone to take care of. Often the very medicine to get us through tough times.

The Dread Boston Salty went to intensive live-in obedience school today - he'll be gone for two weeks. (He bit a neighbor dog yesterday morning, and we can't afford a lawsuit, so we opted for training.) I have no idea how I'm gonna sleep until December 29.

Good luck - hope he learns well. We have two Yorkies who are 12 years old. One has started attacking the other so we now have to keep them separate. We also are restricted from traveling or even going out of town because boarding has its problems and leaving them outside together is risky. (Last time we boarded them - they were sick for two weeks because of the food and one could not bark for a week because he had laryngitis.

Funny, though - when outside they do better except I doubt that the attackee will go in the room where the other one is. So, we have a little old Yorkie shivering outside if it rains or freezes while we enjoy our out-of-town visit.
