This is a trial balloon sent up by the Bush administartion to see if amnesty is feasable in the current political atmostphere

You don't see the humor in this? I couldn't help it.

It sounds so funny, as this administration, and every senator, congressman, mayor, etc knows exactly how the American people feel about this. It's no secret. LOL!

From your point of view, I guess it caught your funnybone and you got carried away a bit. But I was dead serious and tried to give a rational theory for WTF is going on here.

Don't tell me, I never show up on "these" threads --- the immigration threads --- and then make fun of my posts. Come on Joe. Save that crap for the people who favor amnesty and support open borders.

Reagan Man is absolutely right. This is a trial balloon.

You are right that the American people don’t want an amnesty for these criminals. And you are right that every politician knows it. You are mistaken if you think that matters a whit to Lyndon Baines Bush. The one thing he cares about is his political career. There is NOTHING more important to him than staying in power. He is only interested in seeing if doing this before the election will take so many votes that it might keep him from getting reelected.

If doing this only costs a few votes, and will gain him enough illegal alien votes to offset the loss, he will do it now. If not he will wait until after the election and do it then. (Some of the Bots and apologists for the criminals will claim that criminal aliens don’t vote. Just ask Bob Dornen. He was defeated by the criminal alien vote.)

This is not a trial balloon to see if people want this. It is a trial balloon about timing. Will Lyndon Baines Bush declare amnesty now, or after the election? That is the question being asked.

If he can get away with it now, he will do it now. If not, he will wait.
