The French are our allies, so I am very confused by your post. As I recall, Chirac tried to warn us that invading Iraq would lead us only to quagmire and folly. He has been proven right. I guess the soldiers that will die (and for what?)in the coming days will be further evidence Chirac was right and noble to try and give us good advice.

Equating the forgiveness of SADDAM'S debt to France, Germany and Russia for weapons that were mostly illegal to sale and are still killing Americans and were mostly used to build his palaces to getting contracts to rebuild the infrastructure to help the PEOPLE of Iraq instead of facists Ba'athist is ridiculous.

When was the last time France 'helped' the US? Stumped? Well you have to go back to Revolution to find it. And the charming Frogs only helped us then so as to stick one in the Brit's eye.

The French haven't REALLY been our allies since the War 0f 1812, and I'm not so sure about their intentions even then.

As for Chirac having been proven right, I'd suggest that you are hving serious problems apprehending the world around you.
