Ironically, retail sales have been falling since stores stopped celebrating Christmas. Christmas used to be the catalyst for buying. The more you pushed Christmas, the more people bought. The PC stores are shooting themselves in the foot.

The malls and stores don't seem the same when 'Christmas' is hidden from all view. Last year I was in Singapore, which is a multicultural society, and the stores there were celebrating Christmas like it used to be celebrated here. The words 'Merry Christmas' were emblazoned on banners outside the stores. At the hotels, the employees smiled at said 'Merry Christmas' to everyone. Even the Muslims and Hindus in Singapore join in the celebration. At the same time, Muslim and Hindu holidays are celebrated openly, too. But, all the island and country celebrates Christmas. It was such a wonderful sight to behold.

Ironically, retail sales have been falling since stores stopped celebrating ChristmasI remember that Christmas used to bring the "Must Have Toy" such as Tickle Me Elmo, or whatever else would fly off the shelves. How long has it been since that happened? Where is that fly-off-the-shelves toy this year ??
