Easter is the most important of Christian holidays. The only reason why it hasn't been elevated to the level of Christmas is there is only so much Americans can do with the secular Easter Bunny. Now Christmas and gifts, were always a different matter.

Easter is the most important of Christian holidays.
I have noticed that over the last ten to fifteen years, Christmas has become "the holiday season", more secular as well as interminably long. Simultaneously, Easter has become more religious and less of a big deal on a secular level.
