I'm shocked, shocked I tell ya!!! Why would stressing ones heart cause unknown heart troubles to arise? I don't understand?!?!?!!

At least it was Italy spending money on studies like this instead of the US. Glad to see stupidity in Gov't money allocation is not solely a US problem.

While rare, there aren't much greater tragedies than some 18 year old kid suddenly dropping dead.

Long term, if it is possible to identify the kids that are at high risk something could be done about it. Doesn't strike me as a waste of money.

My impression in the US is that there's a strong racial component to the healthy-young-athlete-dropping-dead-right-after-excersize; seems to be a lot more blacks than whites.
