NEW YORK--Robert L. Bartley, who made The Wall Street Journal's editorial page one of the nation's most influential conservative voices during his 30 years as its editor, has died of cancer at age 66.

I just saw this and did a "HOLY CRAP!!" - he just got the Presidential Medal of Freedom last week.

He had a way with word and was a shining light in the conservative movement.

He will be missed, and he will be remembered.

He will indeed. He was the entire point of the WSJ oped page. My Marxist idiot cousin says the WSJ is a great paper - for the 19th century. Idiots aside, Bartley will be impossible to replace.

Unlike Marxism, free market capitalism isn't a system, its what people do naturally when they are FREE.
