My point was that ALONE, the prewence of the AK-47 meant nothing, so why even report it?

As the bulk of troops left the house, two U.S. helicopters fired salvos of explosives into a nearby farmer's field, a show of force the U.S. military calls "harassment and interdiction" of local militants A good move! Remindful of Lt. Col. West's (harmless) warning shots during interrogation.
LTC West is the victim of Clintonites buried within our military.

Great idea, just transmit that signal about every 15 min., country wide, and then send out the street sweepers to clean up rag head hash. Get them while they are setting them up. Cool.

Christ Almighty deliver us from EVIL!
NO...we do NOT bomb the neighbor's yard for having a neighbor participating in guerrilla attacks or we WILL CREATE a Viet Nam!
The neighbor is very highly likely to have turned this guy in in the first place!

I agree that harassing the neighbors is pointless. Better to hand out a few thousand dollars to the neighbors, to compensate them "for the inconvienence of having woke you up while we were arresting these dangerous terrorits."

I'd say, "on the off chance that you were considering being tipsters"
...and given the exchange rate, $100 will go a long way.
I've written CENTCOM, and Cheney about the mistake allegedly committed by our troops.
