Bush, like almost everyone else, was sure the Supremes would throw most of this out.
He thought it was a harmless 'feel good' bill, like pardoning the Whitehouse Turkey at Thanksgiving.
He was wrong.
I was wrong.
The ACLU was wrong.
The Media was wrong.

I guess that means W is neither the Second Coming nor the Antichrist, but only a man.

Everyone will have found ways to circumvent this crap by spring.
It is an affront to our rights, but meaningless in effect.

And there were a hell of a lot of posters here who got insulted by other members for warning about this fiasco

To think this is how he got the income tax, also.

Bush, Nea and kennedy, steel tariffs, cfr,Patriot act, next one up ASW banned extended.

Screw the pubis and their leader.

I disagree, of course.

No "error" here. This is entirely consistent with the rest of his behavior. Do the liberal, totalitarian, socialist things, then fart some excuses at the right, to smooth them over.

Bush's purpose is to shut "conservatives" up while the liberal, totalitarian, socialist NWO agenda is implemented.

I was right, so pay attention next time.

No, it's the next stepping stone to more CFR, and eventually, public financing of campaigns. The anti-free speech and welfare-for-politicans efforts got big boosts from President Bush and the SCOTUS today.

What's the deal with this President and his precious, virginal veto pen?

Then he's as dense as his opponents say, and he earned that C average in college

Sure, a law that bans paying for criticism of politicians before an election is "meaningless." You would have loved the USSR or Nazi Germany. Bush must be happy he has so many blind sheep loyalists like yourself. He can screw you and you ask for more.

Buddy, Bush was RIGHT when he said this law was unconstitutional. But he went ahead and signed it - - violating his oath to uphold the constitution. That makes him a pretty cynical jerk in my book. Wait till the Dems get back in and this law prevents conservatives from running ads to point out their faults. You'll be able to thank Bush for taking away our freedom.
