I'm not an apologists for the Confederate battle flag, but this school ruling is absurd. This ranks right up with the ruling last week by a school board to uphold the suspension of the girl who had Advil in her purse.

I said on another thread this morning that my patience has ended for the nonsense in public education. I think that states should close all public schools, dole-out $2000 per child to their parents for the children's education, and then the states should plow the rest of the money spent on schools into upgrading roads. If schools actually taught kids how to write and do math, some of this nonsense could be tolerated, but schools are even educating kids anymore, so disband them all.

The Confederate Battle Ensign isn’t the only symbol that “disrupt the learning environment or may be used to intimidate others.” The US Flag, shirts displaying some rap artists – heck, a shirt that displays anything can “disrupt the learning environment”. Even pictures of cartoon characters fall in this group. Any thing using the red, black and green color combination can be intimidating. A student wearing boots can be intimidating.
The indoctrination of PC ideology its self disrupts the learning environment.
