If he nominated someone close to Scalia, I'd be thrilled.

No he hasn't been nominating conservatives. Each list he sends includes a few flaming liberals, a large contingent of closet Souter's, and a token conservative who is immediately left on his own by Bush and his handlers. Bush is a socialist.
