Really, when? Source and link?

It appears some of our Bush-bashing friends here on FR suffer from the same malady that the Democrat candidates for President suffer from...They fantacize that Bush said something (something he never actually said), and then attack him for the supposed statement. I don't know if this tendency is the result of delusion, or is simply dishonest.

Good comments. The Bush bashers on this site are probably the ones who were going to "send a message" to the Republicans and Bush Senior by voting for Perot. And what happened when the voted Perot? Well, 8 years of the Clintons...that alone gives me chills. But it could be worse. By not voting in a close election, they might even be giving the election to Dean or Clark/Clinton. Is there anything scarier than that?

You didn't read the thread then. It's been posted. Here it is again. " National Review has the quote, in which Will asks, "In which case, would you veto the McCain-Feingold bill, or the Shays-Meehan bill?" and Bush responds, "That's an interesting question. I — I — yes I would. The reason why is two — for one, I think it does respe — res — restrict free speech for individuals. As I understand how the bill was written, I — I - I think there's been two versions of it, but as I understand the first version restricted individuals and/or groups from being able to express their opinion."

Bush deserves our contempt because he signed this bill and shouldn't have. All of the Bush suppporter tap-dancing can't change the fact that Bush failed to use his granted power of veto and broke his oath to defend the Constitution. Go ahead and read some of the lame excuses that Bush and his handlers came up with about how even though it was unconstitutional Bush signed it hoping that the liberal Supreme Court would overturn it. They'll make your stomach turn.

I'm tired of oath-breaking presidents. Bush makes 2 in a row. I'm also tired of all you gambling Busch supporters who keep telling us to "take our chances", or "gamble" on Bush.

I prefer not to gamble away my constitutional rights for a mess of potage, thank you very much!
