The terrorists, Ba'athists, and Saddamites can thrive only when they can hide within the general population. Mao Tse Tung wrote extensively on this decades ago. They can hide only to the extent that the general population approves of or fears them. I think the lack of approval was established months ago; the fear seems increasingly to be dissipating.

Sucks to be a terrorist in Iraq ...

After re-reading this story, this sentence leaped out at me:

"doctors who treat terrorists so they can avoid treatment at local hospitals"

So it's now proven that they make point of avoiding local hospitals. Why did the press find it so unbelievable that none of the 40-something fighters alleged to have been killed by our troops in Samarra were found in the local hospital?
