Here's the difference between the two parties:

If the dems had the votes, they would vote to scrap the bill of rights, effective immediately...for the children.

The GOP would denounce this move as "extreme" and instead offer their proposal to phase out the bill of rights over the next five years....for the children.

Right. There is no middle ground in Washington. It's become so fuzzy in the middle, they're all a bunch of jacka$$es.

I don't want to get your blood pressure up, but I knew you would like to comment on this thread.

I know some conservatives are all a-dither over some of President Bush's actions. Not me. Over the long haul, we will look back on his first four years as president, as earth shattering, mind boggling to the left. He's well on his way to proving Republicans don't starve babies, kill old folks, poison the air and water. The left, even the loony toon voters, will have to acknowledge that republicans aren't mean-spirited devil racists. Ok, boo hiss, he's had to go further than many of us would like in proposing government programs, we can live with it in order to correct the Clinton lies against us, that began with the Contract For America.

If Howard Dean and Al Gore can rid the DNC (and the country), of Clinton power, we can get back to the days of honest political debate, civilized discourse, and reasonable conversation with the other side of the political aisle.
