Welcome to the world of the Hobbitsville freepers who are bothered by our boycott of LOTR. Nice people, huh? They spent the entire day yesterday harrassing me. They are conflicted because they know they are supporting an anti-American in Viggo Mortensen. I've only encountered this kind of harsh reaction by DU trolls...until yesterday.

ouch...
:)

This has nothing to do with your boycott of LoTR.... This is a whole different topic. I am a pretty deep person.... able to think about more than one issue... sometimes at the same time!
To: HairOfTheDog
so you did what will1776 said had been done?
To: jonalvy44
Oh - the keywords.... no - sorry I didn't.
To: jonalvy44
But they are kinda funny! Heh..... FIRE FUTON TORPEDO! - I don't even know what that ~means~ and it is funny.

Never sell, let them buy.
Trying is what ruins the sale.
A topical example is GW -V- the 9+ dwarves.
If you have ever seen my posts you would note I always disect words and deeds and use weird humor to go for the throat.
I never use a 2x4 when a 4x4 is handy.
Much quicker and more memorable then a long cut & paste or epic novel.
Not that there's anything wrong with them or those who post them.
As you can see "Subtle" is not my middle name.

Really... OK then

If they can't do it for free (again, that is the very definition of charity), then they are despicable human beings and they do not deserve my money, given to their sponsors or through "charities" themselves. Is your standard just for the liberals who lend their names, or the conservatives as well? Are you familiar with the Crisis Pregnancy Centers? I would assume that being on FR you would be.
I used to schedule events for a woman who is nationally known as a speaker for pro-life events and causes. Most people here with any knowledge of conservative social issues would recognize her name. She routinely charged $5,000 for speaking at CPC banquets, plus travel expenses.
I've raised funds on a volunteer basis as well as professionally. This is just the way it's done, for conservatives AND liberals. The $50 grand or so that a celebrity receives for an endorsement is more than offset by the often millions that their name will bring to the charity.
Do you work for free? I didn't think so.

I've only encountered this kind of harsh reaction by DU trolls...until yesterday. You are an embarrassment to the conservative cause. Anytime someone dares to challenge your "ideas" you don't have the brainpower to respond, so you call them DU trolls.
Really, do yourself a favor. Cut it out.

Last I knew, Pennsylvania isn't anywhere near left coast, as you asserted in post 55.

Left coast (Hairofthedog) and pretty close to the other one. Kind of makes me wonder...
Where did I say it was close to the left coast?
