Gore's endorsement shows changing motives

I think Jonah was in high-dudgeon when he wrote this one. It had me laughing at least 6 times. However, I believe he missed a major aspect of this endorsement.

Many of Harold Mean's campaign pitches are delivered amongst screaming mobs of facial-pierced, transgender, GnerationDean!! sycophants. They almost seemed aimed at making Harold Mean feel positive, rather than convince new people to vote for him.

There is an almost Marquis De Sad quality to the resonant condescension waves, emitted by an Axis of Arrogance, consisting of Al Gore and Harold Mean. They not only believe they are a higher form of life, they get off on believing they are a higher form of life.

Tapping a rhetorical kidney on the heads of working-class, conservative white Southerners relieves the untenable bladder pressure that seemingly accompanies the intellectual sarcoma of hyper-liberalism. Perhaps that bladder pressure explains some of the facial expressions these two men have while they exhort the grubby, unwashed liberal arts majors of the world to overthrow the tax base from whence their financial aide checks are ultimately drawn.

So what makes Alwhore and Harold Mean tick? Regrettably, it's not an explosive device, hard-wired to an old-fashioned wind-up alarm clock. Instead, these guys sneer at us with contempt because it feels good to gratuitously insult. It's as close as liberal true believers ever come to being charitable.

Well, one thing is obvious. It as a smart move for Al Gore. Had he joined the nine dwarves, everyone would have laughed, and his poll numbers would have been down around Sharpton's. It would have finished him off as a serious candidate.

But with this endorsement he has instantly put himself back in the game as a major player. And it only cost him a couple of hours of trouble, instead of having to jet or bus all over the country shaking hands and smiling.

It's also a big move for Dean. Unless Hillary has him rubbed out, it's now hard to see how she can stop him from winning enough delegates to sweep the convention. I don't think that was part of her plans.

Maybe she still has something really nasty on him in her FBI files. But if waving a confederate flag from a pickup truck wouldn[t do it, what would? Rape? That certainly didn't hurt bill clinton with his supporters.

For a sizable group of Democrats, Al Gore gets the blood pumping. For the rest of us, he's the human incarnation of footnotes: dry data compressed into an amazingly dull format.

Humor aside, Al sees Dean as his best chance of getting back into politics. He can't get elected in his home state, so he may be fishing for an appointment in the Dean administration. I doubt he would have a place in Clarke's.

Gore's motives are clear! He wants the nomination, himself! By endorsing one of the dwarfs, he has effectively driven out the other [how ever many there are] candidates. He does not have to fight them one by one and get bogged down in the minutae of these painful debates.

My bet is that he already knows what will cripple Dean as they move closer to the Convention. With all the others out of the picture (how much more money will Terry Kerry give to Potty Mouth Kerry?), Gore will have to step in to "save the party and save the nation."

Remember how delusional these people are!! Gore and the Gorons still believe that they actually won in Florida and should be in the White House and, if the election were done over, Gore would certainly win. This was a shrewd move by Gore or whoever is guiding him and it is in his interests, not Dean's.

Al Gore has never been courageous enough to think for himself. He is too insecure.

For years, his father thought for him and he was a "moderate democrat".
Then his father died in 1998.

Now his daughter is doing the thinking for him and he is a radical leftist.

Leadership of the party will then be fought for by this truly despicable trio.

Absolutely. This is his Nixon moment. The dementocrat party apparatchiks know Dean cannot win. Clark was the last hope, and I believe if he had polled higher, Hillary might have accepted the VP position. Now it's moot....Dean is the primary winner and therefore general loser.
