That was the case with us as well. Our lab is still with us--but after our chow mix snapped at our son (the final episode of many aggressive things he did), we finally put him down. :(

We can still remember the way that dog looked at our newborn--my husband always said, "Merlin looked at our newborn son "like he was a roasted chicken".

Clubber, my male boxer is the absolute perfect dog and will be no problem at all. But Maggie, the female boxer has issues. All she wants is love and attention. There is no issue with biting or other aggressive behavior, but she will want to constantly lick him and jump up on who ever is holding him. Most likely a strong chance of her scratching him up with her paws and claws. She put a good scratch on Darth Reagan's son last year.
