[history]
Gays are making huge strides everywhere, but in the executive suite.
One chilly fall day last year, Gary Osifchin trooped into a mandatory training session at S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. The privately held company, located in Racine, Wis., which was voted 2003's "all-American city" by the National Civic League, manufactures Raid insecticide and Glade air fresheners. It's the kind of place where factory workers ride to the assembly line on Harley-Davidsons, dine on local bratwurst, and chase it down with Milwaukee beer.

What a phrase for a "deacon" to use. I assume you meant it in a loving, fraternal fashion, but really! It was appropriate for the ridiculous objection that Romulus made, that he doesn't think spouses should be covered by employers.
Foolishness!

"I don't make it a practice to rebuke other people for their vices. Maybe you do."
actually, frequently you do rebuke people about their "vices"...in particular women, but then again, maybe that's where your problem is....its just women you hate....
seems to me when it came to talking about the Kobe stuff, you appointed yourself the High and Mighty and called her many names, not knowing her one wit.......

Give it up on the Kobe stuff. Little Miss Accuser seems to have been nailed by the bellhop, the star witness. That throws a major wrench in the prosecutor's case.
Is there anybody in Eagle County this girl hasn't had sex with?

He also "rebukes" posters whose religous opinions he disagrees with.

Trashing her isn't at ALL an act one expects from a publicly self-proclaimed DEACON of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. Calumny AT BEST, slander probably. Unlike your wine, these ARE sins, "deacon".

My free exercise of religion makes me a bigot. What does that make you?,A rational, thoughtful person who forms his own opinions.

I can have an opinion, narses. And, given what I've read in the press lately, the accuser of Kobe Bryant has a huge mountain to climb in proving that she was raped. By her own admission, she had sex with three men in three days.
She's not believeable.

Frankly, given that you believe that use of a condom is a sin, I have a hard time having any respect for any of your opinions.
But I wish you a good night, nevertheless.!

What a tight-ass! That's what freeloaders always say.
BTW, I pay extra to cover my wife.
I'm sure you do. But I doubt you pay (directly, anyway) her entire premium. Probably most of this is paid directly by the company, as an invisible component of your benefits package. As additional (untaxed) income to you, it's a benefit a single person like me would not enjoy. The realities of corporate budgeting being what they are, the total health insurance premium is first allocated between the company and the employees as a whole, and only then allocated between singles and marrieds. Your company extends offers of employment to singles and marrieds, including medical benefits, without knowing which marrieds will opt for joint coverage (and thus help themselves to additional aggregate household benefits at the expense of the singles).
As I said before, I can reconcile myself to the societal good of subsidising authentic marriage and family life, even at my own cost. But your ungracious attitude of entitlement toward this state of affairs is unedifying, to say the least.

the ridiculous objection that Romulus made, that he doesn't think spouses should be covered by employers. In fact, I said the exact opposite. Jackass.
And if you must trash me in a post, be man enough to ping me.

You object to my wife being covered by my employer, yet you have no problem with contending that we ought to welcome the homeless (the unproductive) in society, so that they can be objects of charity.
You're a bit of an oddball, Romulus. But, I'm sure you've heard that before.

Your right to an opinion does not extend to calumny and slander "deacon". Your comments went beyond an "opinion" into objectively sinful behavior.
