Dont blame Texas, this kinda stuff happens everywhere.
Read in an earlier thread where a father had his daughter beheaded because he didnt agree with her choice of a husband.
The main thing is some men have a "bad gene" born abusers and will always be abusers.

Those two girls didn't have a chance; the mother is a nutcase and the father is a murderous maniac.

Total tragedy.
Now we have 2 kids dead, dad getting very close to "Peckerwood Cemetary" and a mom who will live with the whole thing for the rest of her life.
Hard to imagine anything as bad as this.

but Texas has a record of making the punishment fit the crime.
One was scheduled for the drip tonight but got postponed as the SCOTUS took an appeal.... Three are scheduled this week but appeals are pending on the other two also....

who did everything in the law to protect herself and her kids... While she is not "to blame" in any legal sense, she did not "do everything in the law to protect herself and her kids". She didn't get a gun, learn to use it, and shoot the SOB that Christmas day in '99 when he beat her up. Did she get a CHL, available in Texas since '95? I don't think so.
I'd expect my daughters to do that, at least getting the gun, or borrowing one of mine, and taking it from there.

Well, we may have some violent criminals in Texas, but at least we NOW vote the Republican ticket for most offices, not just one or two as in some states!!

But Dyer says, "The problem was, and the problem is, that it is almost impossible to prevent a crime that no one not even the victim suspects will ever happen." Ominous and terrifying that he thinks all crime can be prevented. If supermax security prisons still have assaults and murders, then the only way to prevent crime is to strap everyone down to tables.

Texas should institute the application of ancient Rome's favorite form of execution to deal with rough, tough, brave, bad-ass guys like this.
The appeals courts and governor then would have a few hours to ponder it all after the execution had commenced.
To maximize the deterent value of such, and to drive both the anti-Christian and the church-state liberals nuts at the same time, Texas could cleverly alter the "T" in its offical state logo.
But, then, I suppose that the utilization of Southern Pacific surplus ties would give new meaning to the term "railroaded"..........

Notice how many screwball stories come outta Texas?. Houston- a woman drowns her five kids in a....Hey, you forgot the one in Jasper where they dragged James Beard to death behind a pickup truck and the woman in Houston running over the McDonald's manager because there was no mayo on her hamburger. Yes, there are plenty of fruits and nuts here in Texas.

Thanks. He's appealing that the injection is cruel? No problem. We can bring out old Sparky if the SCOTUS wants.

This is an old case. The killer was from New Jersey, he was just residing in Texas.

He sounds like another Texan. Notice how many screwball stories come outta Texas?. Dallas- a mom slits the throat of her two boys. Plano- a Air Force academy cadet kills a 16 yearolf Cheerleader at the behest of his Naval Academy girlfriend. Forth Worth - A women runs down a homeless guy and lets himn bleed to death in her windshield. She tells him to be quiet when he pleads for help. Dallas- A woman doctor runs over her husband three times and then claims it is an accident...the stories are endless. Rather than correcting you, I'll identify some of the errors and let you check your own facts.
Plano- a Air Force academy cadet kills a 16 yearolf Cheerleader at the behest of his Naval Academy girlfriend. Not true as written.
Dallas- A woman doctor runs over her husband three times and then claims it is an accident...the stories are endless. Not true as written.
Houston- a woman drowns her five kids in a tub.Technically not correct, but I'll spot you this one since it was a Houston suburb.
The Fort Worth story does appear to be correct as written. I can't identify the Dallas entry as submitted. Finally, you left out the mother in east Texas who beat her kids to death with a rock.

More male bashing. How many moms have become famous for stabbing the kids in the bathtub, drowning them strapped into their car seats in a lake, etc.
I didn't see the dads crying to the television shows, not was tv even interested. I love double standards.

I agree with you. If anybody thinks that this kind of behavior is a "Texas thing" they are nuts. Violence is everywhere.
I live in Illinois and we have our share of a holes like this as does every other state.
