The dog gets a hard boot to the head before being allowed eat, as to be let known just who is still the boss!
Meds.
I suppose Hillary's med plan comes in to save the day.
Hugh is optimistic, funny, engaged and paragmatic. He uses his platform as a change agent. He makes a real world difference, he travels to his affiliate locations, stumps for GOP candidates, raises money and exposure and makes an investment of time and treasure in his ideology.
Savage is a bigmouthed whiner. He considers his platform a "watchdog" asset. His job is to shout out the injury and outrage. Piss the other malcontents listening off righteously. Cut! Wrap! Then down to the Wharf for dinner.
Anyone who manages any project in life understands that problem identification is an important first step in the process. But it's a FIRST STEP. You then need to move onto solution schemes. The lazy slugs of Savageville, and FR "purityville" don't bother to move past the "This is what's wrong" stage. That's where they live.
The Brits did this to the man who had the vision and foresight to see the gathering storm, the strength and courage to rally his nation, and the political wisdom to see it through.
Santayana had nothing on you, or you know him well. You have the political landscape up to the 2008 elections pretty well nailed down. The only thing left is who winds up the players.
Now, do you have any $$$$'s for a new keyboard!!!!?????
Thanks, really. Sharpton has an awful past, but he pulled off his James Brown ('the hardest working man in show business') perfectly......he had the moves!!!
Thanks again!!! LOL! You got my day started off really well!
That's human nature. It's something that COULD happen after Bush 43, but only if the GOP throws a Tomato Can up against a Hillary or reincarnated Gore. I don't think they will.
But, I don't see any upside to not putting Condi at VP and moving Cheney to NSC Director. Have them switch places, without switching places. But Condi needs to spearhead some high profile initiative in the second term to get her the exposure she needs to beat the Hildebeast. Because ... the Hildebeast will be there. She's worked the calculus, she's crunched the numbers and broken down film ... she's going 2008 absent some George W Bush- Howard Dean gay lover sex scandal.
The murderous provoker is celebrated! The defamer is cheered!
All hail, fellow! Well met!
Those are the wages of the follower, of the back-patter, of the self-defining gang who define themselves by cheering each other on.
So it is by that method, we arrive at a grand public fellow -- a Sharpton, a Clinton.
Unredeemed, unrebuked, uncorrected. A sufferance, a pox on us all.
Think about that mindless cheering, that clubby cheery back-patting, and what is its end effect. By it bad men are raised up, and good men go bad.

Here -- to Arne, to Howiln, to those who want to join a club, a club of bots, whatever ...
The bills passed and signed -- CFR and the MedicAide -- bad bills. Cheer them on and you cheer on a parade of more of that and worse.
You make your clubhouses, you ignore the foundations -- the walls will collapse on you. You build up the club house walls too soon - unlike Mr. Bush is is seven-times sharper than all you all, when you act like that -- you shut out, you divide, you split apart, when you might best be considering the views you don't see. Don't think your view is the only one, that is by being so apt the mock those you disagree with. Ignorance is not bliss.
Mr. Bush is not perfect, no man is. And sucking up ALWAYS amplifies a man's imperfections.
Maybe it's different for women -- I do know it is different -- yet it is not that different. And Mr Bush is a man. A club of giddy go-alongers and bots is his ruination, not his support.
My personal reaction was that Koppel was 'snippy' to Dean. None of the candidates made a bit of sense at all. Kook-in-itch is a nutcase and that goes for Braun and Sharpton.
As for Kerry, he seems to be totally out of it.......
I remember back to Truman.........but shhh, don't mention it!
