In his first press conference as a candidate for governor, standing on the lawn outside Jay Leno's Burbank studios, Arnold Schwarzenegger explained why he thought it was so important to bring job-creating businesses back to California. "When business comes back, revenues come back," Schwarzenegger told a throng of reporters and an international audience, displaying glimpses of the cross-party appeal that would elect him to the state's highest office. "When revenues come back, we can afford all kinds of programs that are very important."
