I would think, as one of the top defence contractors, Boeing would have thousands of Pentagon links.

$20 million here, $20 million there. They could have at least changed the amount.

This is just one article in an on-going series by the Financial Times and other outlets on high level dealings in DC.
The article on its own does not add much to the story but it thematically expands the initial scrutiny on Richard Perle to the Defense Policy Board.

Mr Perle co-wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal in August, arguing for the deal's approval when it was facing intense criticism from Congress. He did not disclose the Boeing investment.
As Mayor Ed Koch once remarked about Donald Trump...."piggy, piggy, piggy."

Oink! Oink! Oink!
Boeing also gained access to the board by investing $20m last year in Trireme, a venture capital fund run by two board members, Richard Perle and Gerald Hillman. Mr Perle co-wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal in August, arguing for the deal's approval when it was facing intense criticism from Congress. He did not disclose the Boeing investment.

This is giving ammo to the "Bush sold us to the Neocons" Left.

That's true....but I don't think Bush is saddened to see the discrediting of Mr. Oinky accelerate.
I think Bush wants him finished off politically.

very little is squeaky clean. That's unfortunate but the DPB taking $20,000,000.00 bribes stands out, even in Pentagon Screwdriver Land.
"Everybody does it" isn't going to help get to the bottom of this.

Mr. Oinky, why do you rob the Pentagon and US taxpayers?
Cause that's (snort snort) where the money is!

Congress and their lobbiest buddys are CORRUPT. But who gets hurt?? Try the sorry bastards then take 'em out back and shoot 'em. Next week there would be no crooked members of congress and no crooked lobbiest.
