She may or may not be correct.

What's certain is that she isn't describing Atkins.

I still find it interesting that people who don't do their research still feel comfortable giving advice on the topic. A lot of theories and careers are under the gun and people will naturally try to defend their positions.

I don't think they've read Atkins.

She's not correct. One can live a perfectly normal, healthful life without meat/poultry/fish/eggs. People all over the world are doing it.
