Why aren't the anti-WODers also defending Rush? Why would you want to bring him down? It's been about a decade since he made any strong anti-drug statements?

I am an Anti-War on Some Drugs type who wishes state and federal government would stop being everyones ever-watchful nanny. As for the Rush case, what do we have? A guy who had surgery and got addicted to pills, and a maid who made a quarter of a million bucks selling her "story" to the enquirer as a "witness?" No wonder no charges have been filed against Rush.

You would need to direct that question to them.

Why would you want to bring him down?

He is bringing himself down, and very possibly abusing his loyalists in a fashion similar to how Clinton abused his.

Personally, I abandoned Rush for good when he chose Netanyahu and Sharon over President Bush at a very critical juncture.

I am. Rush is a perfect example of how a hard-core drug addict can lead a productive life. Why should other hard-core drug addicts languish in jail when they too could have a chance to lead a productive life?

This one does! I would love to see Rush, armed with newfound personal experience with the powers the WOD can give rogue prosecutors, come out swinging against it.
