Hi Mary Ann,

An update: They have Marilyn in their 36-bed Intermediate Care Unit. There must have been twice that number of staff running around.

They did a MRI on her back ... results were inconclusive. They don't know if it's a blood mass there or what ... at this point in time. Herpes was mentioned at some point (I think about the back, but I don't remember --- there's so much going on and I'm so tired.)

The liver specialist was there today and doesn't think her condition is entirely from the HepC ... that she's not jaundiced enough.

They did an EKG today ... but no results yet. Will keep you posted.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that Marilyn is receiving the attention that is to critical to her ... we praise You for answered prayer, and we praise You for the dedication of her beloved sister and friend. Shower her doctors and caregivers with wisdom, knowledge, and skill ... may they be correct in diagnosis and correct in treatment. Guide each step in her care, O God, unto the day of her recovery. May they deal as kindly with her as she has dealt with others, for in serving one another, we serve You, Creator God. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

UPDATE!! Below in italics is an update from Alice/Beach_Babe. POST 239 and POST 245. I can tell she is just exhausted. Please if you all would PING your ping lists agian, I would appreciate it SO MUCH!! God Bless!!

Our prayers are working, maybe in baby steps. But I know they are. So does Alice, as you will see reading her update.

Alice, it sounds like Marilyn is getting EXCELLENT care at Shands. PRAISE GOD!!! As you can see from all the beautiful prayers you are getting in this thread, prayers are being answered, in that Marilyn is FINALLY getting the kind of care she needed and deserved.

Be sure to take care of YOU while she is there in such capable hands. God willing, they will get her well, and the day will soon be here when she will be going home with you. YOU WILL NEED to be rested so you can care for her. What good will you be to Marilyn if you collapse from exhaustion?

To: Vets_Husband_and_Wife I forgot to tell you that she is 'out of it' ... I don't think she knew I was there. Her BP was about 90/64 ... and resp. rate was fluctuating between 24 & 30.

Thank you everyone for your prayers ... I believe they are keeping her alive.
