I beg to differ, Liz. This is Clintonista triangulation at it's finest.

Far be it from me to ever underestimate the Clintons' capacity at connivance in order to further their crass political ambitions. Yet, I cannot yet visualize how the Clintons benfit from Gore's move. Time will tell. You could be right.

By controlling the front runner, they leave their options wide open. Howie's now been co-opted. The last threat, from the Dem side anyway, to whatever they decide they want has now been neutralized.

Here's my thinking on the "Clinton" take: We've not yet had a woman veep, let alone a woman prez. Better to let the sheeple get used to the taste of it before a big jump like President Hillary. So, Dean/Clark in 2004; just to beat the Bushies. Dean/Clinton in 2008. And Hillary/? in 2012. Just look at their history...the Clintons are patient people.
