Gore's move is so neat--a triple play.
(1) Gore outmaneuvers the calculating Clintons who desperately tried to control 2004 by injecting Clark into the mix, (2) Gore slaps down the hopes of Holy Joe LIEberman (who considered himself the likely heir to the nomination as Gore's handpicked 2000 running mate), and (3) Gore positions himself for 2008 (knowing Dean will lose 2004), in effect, saying," Hillary, go take a hike."
And Gore completes smearing the Clintons by doing the Dean endorsement a few blocks away from Clinton's Harlem office.
Beautiful. But, of course, Gore is still a loser and Dean still loses against Bush's economy.

I beg to differ, Liz.
This is Clintonista triangulation at it's finest. Gore and the Clintons buried the hatchet some time ago. Gore backs Dean and the rest of the pack withers on the vine. I told you s bit bsck that Clark was brought in by the Clintons to give Buzz Boy some cover and it's still so. The Clinton's ticket is Dean/Clark; it's all been planned in advance.
Whether the Bushies machine can withstand the assault is still in question.

My brilliant husband (and I mean that seriously) said almost word for word the same thing you wrote, including "triple-play." GMTA.

Stay tuned, I guess...
