The proud, Boston Brahmin, once the over-all favorite to take on the 'stupid', George W. Bush awaits his dismal fate. The French-looking dandy is now in the Dien Bien Phu phase of his miserable campaign for the presidency. Soon it will be all over and he will have to suffer through the degradation of the vanquished. Like Von Paulus at Stalingrad, Kerry will be paraded down the aisle at the convention in Boston to give his delegates to the cocky upstart... Howard Dean. Oh... the pain!!! HA!

Dang it all--it isn't "last rights"----it is "last rites".

Near the end of this meet-and-greet, the senator picks up a small boy and carries him into the "Real Deal Express." As a political moment, it is a two-fer.

Right ... the Michael Jackson and the NAMBLA crowd.

Nice touch, but I feel he's more into the G.A. Custer at the Little Big Horn mode right now, and he knows it.

"Like Von Paulus at Stalingrad, Kerry will be paraded down the aisle at the convention in Boston to give his delegates to the cocky upstart... Howard Dean."

I beg to disagree.

The Russian campaign entailed far more courage and hardship than Kerry has endured and far more suffering for the consequences of defeat than he will ever know. The only direct element of analogy from that conflict would be that of desperation.

In truth, I think it more proper to visualize Kerry as a stepped-on packet of ketchup, spent, useless and alone in the muddied parking-lot of the Democrat's junk-food political emporium.
