Colleagues added that the normally well-prepared Luna often appeared distracted and was admonished by the trial judge for making errors during his last prosecution of two rappers who ran a violent heroin ring. "He was definitely off his game," said a colleague.

Wonder if this had anything to do with Luna's acquiescence to a plea bargain deal that was much more favorable to the defendants?

...admonished by the trial judge for making errors during his last prosecution of two rappers... I read another article that gave some detail. Reportedly, Luna failed to disclose some details to the defense before the trail about the gov't's star prosecution witness. Supposedly, this error led to the plea deal. The guys were up on charges that could have resulted in life sentences. Plea deal was for 13 years. Luna's trips to Lancaster Cty could certainly account for his being "distracted" (lack of sleep?)--esp. if those were all middle of the night trips like this one.
