December 9, 2003 -- In a slap at 2000 running mate Joe Lieberman, Al Gore will go to Harlem today to throw his support behind Howard Dean for president in a bid to play kingmaker and help the Democratic front-runner wrap up the nomination fast, sources said yesterday. The dramatic move by Gore, who, with Lieberman on his ticket, beat George Bush in the 2000 popular vote, will boost Dean with black voters and help in the pivotal Iowa caucuses - and could make him all but unstoppable.

Gore ran very strong among blacks, with more than 90 percent of their support, and his popularity could be a big asset for Dean, who has won only limited support from blacks...

I'm getting sick of my people being so shallow and predictable.

Clinton and Gore KNOW dean is unelectable. The purpose of this is to set up and cement Hillary as the salvation of the Party.

It's like an old Soviet Politburo power play, which the Clintons studied in depth.

Gore ran very strong among blacks, with more than 90 percent of their support, and his popularity could be a big asset for Dean, who has won only limited support from blacks, especially after talking about his eagerness to court white Southerners "with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks."

With the black vote now locked up for Howdee Doody, Al (It's My Party and I'll Lie If I Want To) Gore could team up with rapper Ice-T and go after the Buddhist vote.

I disagree that Gore is in on something with the Clintons. I think the theory that he's setting up to do battle with The Hitlery Cow in '08 is more believable.

Al and Dean have decided to dump the Jew, and increase the black vote for Dean. This is politics in it's most pathetic form.

I guess we can all thank God that this sleazball never became President.

I know it's tempting to speculate about a delicious rift between Gore and Clinton, or possibly Jiminy Joe Lieberman, but maybe we are reading too much into this.

Remember gang: With AlGore, it's all about AlGore!!! Sometimes I get the impression that AlGore will do anything to get his name and face back into the news. And it worked, today everybody's talking about AlGore.

This should be on everybody's mind for oh, say, well maybe today...

Gee, I can hardly wait until the TV shows them together in Harlem. The combination of arrogance and pomousness in one place boggles the mind.

All the media outlets are calling this a "major" endorsement but I think it’s going to be more like a "major" albatross.

Dean just called Gore the "real elected president of the United States".

I think Gore, for a change, looked uncomfortable at this tired lie.

As I continue to listen I don't know whether to laugh - as I would when listening to a really good stand up comic - or whether to run for the commode because I'm having trouble controlling my gag reflex.

Gore's endorsement is a perfect plan by the Klintoons and Dean being the perfect lemming has no idea what is going on. Plus we already know that Gore cannot think of this on his own. Let's analyze this a bit further.

With Dean getting the nomination he gets to choose the next leader of the DNC. That man will be Al Gore. We already know that Dean will get rid of McAuliffe because he is a Klintoon man. But let's delve deeper.

Everyone in teh Democratic party knows McAuliffe has done a miserable job over the last several years but is too powerful to get out of there as well as being friends with the Klintoons. He lost congress in 1994, couldn't get it back in 98 or 02 as well as losing the Senate. The way I see it, McAuliffe is thrown out, the Klintoons do not take the blame, Gore gets the DNC nod, Dean gets his clock cleaned by Bush in 2004 and Hillary is now in position for 2008 with no one in the way. A Gore/Hillary primary in 2008 will be expensive and messy and no one in the Democratic party wants that. Everyone will want party unity and they will gather around Hillary.

I believe Lieberman has been told about this and went along. He has no shot at being the nominee and rather than continue a losing battle, be the sacrifical lamb and take the ambassador post to Israel as a reward. Wesley Clark will be secretary of either state or defense. The rest of clowns will get either tidbits or nothing at all.

And so you have it.

So you think Gore's payoff will be McCawful's old job? Interesting theory... very interesting. Like I said, AlGore is All About Algore. This could be AlGore's last grasp at power within the Democratic establishment. Hmmmm....

Take away the Clinton's multi-million dollar political slush fund, and their opinions wouldn't matter to anyone.
