In fact it is my firm belief that you would see many women entering into marriages of convenience and bringing their children with them. Good point (and I hate to admit it, but I hadn't thought of that one), except that if both woman are relatively poor, I am not sure what the benefits would be really financially (other than social security survivor benefits, but you said woman with children), and if one woman is much richer than the other, than the rich woman is bearing the finanacial risk.
