You know, I would think that if this were an out of the blue, one time behavior. But, unfortunately, this man has a history of disobeying speed limits.

Even if it is reduced to probation, I would not want to see him serving in public office again.

Nor would I. He deserves to do time.

The jury wasn't permitted to hear testimony of his past speeding tickets. Honestly, I think they knew all about his past, and that influenced their decision.
