How did Georgia get's it's name? Honoring a British king? I find that hard to believe.

In Russian it's called Gruziya, and a man from there a Gruzin. Where the 'Georgia' part comes in, I'm not sure, perhaps in Gruzinskiy language it's something similar. Or it may just be like that Munich/Muenchen Cologne/Koeln Geneva/Genf thing.
