Dean has already said [his running mate] will be someone with DC experience who shares his views. Breaux doesn't fit that mold at all.The truth of that statement and a dollar won't buy a pin. It was a throwaway to appease supporters. Once Dean wins the nomination, political strategery will come into play, and Dean will most assuredly name someone with a real chance to pull in the South - regardless of how well his views jibe with the Doctor's.

I doubt it. Dean can't choose someone as conservative as Breaux. His base will abandon him. His base is his whole organization. He doesn't have establishment folks in his organization. They aren't forgiving of choosing a pro-ANWR-exploration guy as VP.
