If Dean had ended up running on a HillaryCare II platform, he'd probably be one of the dorks making up the rear of the pack like Edwards and Kucinich. Instead he got lucky, and was able to reinvent himself as the candidate for the pro-Saddam, venomous Bush-hate wing of the Democratic Party ... who are the only ones worked up enough at the moment to even be paying attention. I find it hard to believe Dean would ever have made it this far if it weren't for the Iraq war.
