OK, here's my pathetically uninformed take on this: A still-pouting Gore is giving the finger to the Clintons for their lukewarm support of his 2000 campaign. Anybody else on board with this theory?

If I remember correctly, Al Gore didn't want Bill and Hill on the campaign trail with him. Now for the devils advocate, Al Gore didn't even bother to mention the so called "Eight Great Years Of The Clinton Administration" on the campaign trail.

And Bill chewed out Al on the day of the 2001 inauguration for not using him more in the campaign..

Gore didn't because he couldn't. Gore must be mighty upset that he paid part of the price for the Clintoon's "legacy".
