You would think so, but I don't think Al has really "mended his fences". At least not here in TN. He taught a few classes, but I viewed it more as people rubber-necking than actually caring about him.
I was thinking of the primaries. It would seem that Gore would help Dean solidify his standing with the base and makes it more difficult for every other candidate. I don't think (at least at this point) it helps in the general election though.
